Founder, BoRo Studio

Founder of BoRo Studio. He designs how operations should run and builds the systems that make the design hold.

Who is Amaru Bourgeois?

Amaru Bourgeois is the founder of BoRo Studio, an Operational Architecture Studio founded in Chile. He is a software and systems builder who works directly on each engagement: the diagnosis, the operating architecture and the implementation.

About BoRo Studio

From building systems to designing how operations run

Amaru started by building software and systems: ERP back offices, integrations, portals, data products and the control layers around them.

The pattern that kept repeating was that the software was rarely the hard part. The hard part was that nobody had written down which system owned which fact, who decided what, and what should happen when a decision changed. Systems built on top of that ambiguity ended up encoding it.

So the work moved upstream. BoRo Studio starts with the operating architecture and builds only what that architecture requires. He still builds; the architecture decides what.

What he does on an engagement

BoRo is currently founder-led. Amaru stays directly involved from diagnosis through architecture and implementation.

  • Diagnosis

Tracing how work, decisions and information actually move, from the evidence the operation already produced.

  • Architecture

Writing down lifecycle states, ownership, decision rights, handoffs, exceptions and system-of-record boundaries.

  • Implementation

Configuring, connecting, extending or building what the architecture calls for, and nothing it does not.

Current focus

BoRo Studio's current commercial focus is growth-stage Solar + BESS project delivery companies. That is a focus, not a track record: the studio does not publish client work from that sector, and the project-delivery material on this site is labelled as example architecture.
